Resin Care & Safety
Overview
Every piece from our studio is meticulously crafted using a specialized, high-resolution 3D printing resin blend. This process allows us to achieve incredible, lifelike detail at a 55mm scale. However, this level of detail means these pieces are specialized collectibles, not standard action figures, and they require a bit of extra care to ensure they last a lifetime.
Handling Your Figurines
-
- Hold by the Base or Torso: When moving or examining your piece, always pick it up by the solid base or the thickest part of the torso.
- Mind the Extremities: While we engineer our designs with structural reinforcements specifically to strengthen delicate areas like fingers and extended limbs, these parts remain the most vulnerable to snapping. Avoid applying pressure to weapons, arms, or thin props.
- Avoid Drops: Unlike traditional soft plastics, cured 3D resin is rigid and can shatter or chip if dropped onto a hard surface. Handle them over a carpeted area or a soft mat when unpacking.
Display and Environment
-
- UV Light Sensitivity: Our figurines are fully cured before shipping. However, prolonged exposure to direct, intense sunlight can cause the resin to become overly brittle over time or subtly shift the color. Display them in shaded areas or under standard indoor lighting.
- Temperature: Keep your miniatures away from extreme heat sources (like direct proximity to a radiator or a hot car interior), which can cause the material to warp. Normal room temperature is perfect.
Cleaning and Maintenance
-
- Dusting: To maintain the smooth, matte finish of the figurine without polishing away the texture, use a clean, soft-bristled makeup brush or a dry microfiber cloth to gently sweep away dust.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not submerge your figurines in water or use harsh chemical solvents, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners, as these can strip the finish or degrade the resin.
Safety Information
-
- Not a Toy (Ages 14+): While collections like Green Gaffes feature playful or classic toy-inspired designs, none of our products are toys. They are delicate display pieces intended strictly for adult collectors ages 14 and older.
- Choking Hazard: If broken, resin can fracture into small, sharp pieces that pose a severe choking hazard. Keep all figurines strictly out of reach of small children and pets.
- Material Safety: The photopolymer resin used to create these figures is completely inert and safe to handle once fully cured. However, it should never be ingested, chewed on, or used in food-preparation areas.
